The mobile space is exploding with opportunities with the estimated 2013 app spending to hit US$ 29.5 billion.
The information from Sybase’s video showed some interesting statistics representing vast opportunities in the mobile app space. With app spending targeted to hit US$ 29.5 billion by 2013, how can app developers ensure that they can get a piece of the pie?
TechCrunch did a survey two years back that showed that the market is still top heavy with the top 10 percent of apps skewing the average earnings and downloads upwards. 90 percent of apps sell less than 100,000 copies with the top selling bunch going at 127,000 to 3,000,000 units.
The article suggests, that although most of these apps are marketed through social media, the deal breaker rests in the hands of Apple for the iOS apps. In summary, here are the three things that tips things in favor of your app:
