4 Windows Phone apps singles might find useful on Valentine’s Day
Let’s face it: not everyone cares for Valentine’s Day. We’ve shown you some Windows Phone and iOS apps for Valentine’s Day, but admittedly, we targeted those who snared a date for that special/dreaded day.
But whether you’re proud and single or are raring to get out of the house for a serendipitous encounter, Windows Phone has the apps you need!
Cooking for one (free)
This no frills app has one single objective: to present quick and easy recipes for only one person. Who needs the trouble and mess of cooking for more people? With recipes like “Curry in a hurry”, this app is also perfect for people who are merely looking for something to fill their stomachs before heading out to try their luck at local watering holes.
Datesquare for Facebook (free)
Datesquare for Facebook is a location-based app which shows you all Facebook and foursquare users checked-in to a particular location, and who are ready for a date. Set your profile and preferences in the app, and it will recommend relevant people near you to chat up. But first, be sure to send him/her a message from within the app to see if there’s any interest there.
The downside is, of course, that other people must also have this app for it to be useful.
…i’m a WP7! (free)
…i’m a WP7! is one of the very first location-based social networking app developed for Windows Phone, and its functionality has expanded greatly since its debut. At its core, the app lets you discover other Windows Phone 7 users near you, even around the world, and lets you connect with them.
There’s a special focus on WP7 app developers too, which lets them show off their apps and discuss relevant topics. It’s completely free, and has no ads. What’s not to love?
Doodle Love (free)
If you’re determined to stay home, why not try something fun? This cute little free game has you playing as Mr. G, and you have to save Ms. Honey by playing through 48 doodled-up levels of monsters and obstacles. Can you collect all roses and get to Ms. Honey in all levels? The later levels get rather challenging, and are pretty well-designed.
