This year’s Most Valuable App for Asia’s Top 50 Apps, Lobangclub, plans to enhance their app features by introducing two new features in upcoming weeks. They will be rolling out  a feature called “midnight vision” where users will be able to scan barcodes under any lighting conditions and even in a moving car. The other new feature will allow Lobangclub users talk to each other, a feature where the development team are still in the midst of deciding the appropriate user experience.

e27 managed to hear from Guyi Shen, one of the co-founders, about his plan for the app. As a bootstrap startup, Guyi’s focus was to develop an app that offers great user experience to help users in find great deals around. Since their iPhone app launched two months ago, Lobangclub has  successfully acquired over 38,000 members. He also hinted on their plan to expand to other Southeast Asian countries. Malaysia will be their first target followed by Indonesia and then Philippines. The plan is still on the drawing board as Guyi and  Lobangclub’s other co-founder, Ronald Cheung, continue to hung for more opportunities for the app.

Lobangclub also has plans to develop for other platforms such as Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone 7.
