So much money down the drain…another local startup, Foound, is already well on the way to failure despite so much publicity and receiving huge amounts of funding. Trust me, the app will never go viral. It’s poor reviews at itunes and few downloads is enough evidence.

@BigJoe: As most people who know me are aware, I’m a little dense… which is probably why I don’t understand your comment. Jayesh says the business wasn’t working, so the decision was taken to shut it down and return the remaining money to the investors. What does this have anything to do with it being a lesson to startups in terms of keeping them hungry?

Also, there’s a significant trade-off in being “kept hungry” and “going for broke” – both positions advocated by investors and both somewhat contradictory. Since you appear to have either investment or startup founding experience (as evidenced by your quote), perhaps you’d like to share your thoughts on this too? Or is the contradiction only in my mind and perhaps no one else sees it that way?
