John will share the lessons behind DeCare Systems’ successful growth and development in Europe and how that can be applied to other technology companies looking to tap into the world’s largest single market. He will give a very interesting insight into the company’s early considerations in expanding into the Asian market and working with Singapore partners.

Eddie Chau – “Growing Your Business Internationally – Thoughts from a Serial Entrepreneur”

Eddie will share his experiences in starting up new companies and bringing them to the world’s stage.  He will discuss trends that are relevant to companies that are set to expand their activities in the region and beyond.

John Murphy is the Managing Director of DeCare Systems Ireland (DSI), a company that provides software development and Internet solutions for a select market of worldwide health care and retail organisations.  In the last 4 years, it has significantly expanded its operations, internationalised out of Ireland and more than doubled its revenues, growing on average more than 30 percent each year.  Now in its own right it can boast clients such as Amazon, Expedia and Mastercard.  DSI is a good example of how a small local subsidiary had grown out of its original role and become a major company in it own right.

Eddie Chau was a founder of e-Cop, a company which he later sold to Temasek.  Since then, he has started other companies and has had many business ventures, and definitely has lots of stories to tell.
