Facebook is Fun, but Where is the Business Value?

by leslie

“What is Facebook To You? Is it a social network, social software or a tool that you use as a personal ‘crm’?”

The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) held an Infocomms Technology (ICT) Industry Luncheon recently in Hong Kong, where Justin Lee – co-founder of the E27 SG team which pushed for the opening of Facebook to universities in Singapore before Facebook was opened to the public – gave a talk about Facebook and its Business Value.

“Social network spend is increasing in line with the trend towards usage of social networks. Despite its apparent deep penetration it is still only emerging as a communications tool even in developing nations and stronger growth can be expected from countries outside of the USA.”
