What’s IN? PopOut! ’07
Complementing E27′s tradition of featuring exciting startups from our lovely city state, our friends from The Digital Movement are organizing PopOut this coming Thursday .
The presentating startups include Bezurk and BookJetty, which should both be still fresh in the heads of many of you who have been to our previous unconferences. They have of course grown from strength to strength since presenting then, with Bezurk recently named one of the world’s most exciting startups by Business 2.0 (outside of USA) .
Other startups in the presentation lineup includes Quaffs – a social networking site centered around building and sharing wishlists, as well as Recruit.net – an online job listing site. The startup that I’m involved in, ZopIM – the next-generation sales IM platform (recently named one of the world’s brightest startup – by unknown sources ;p) will also be giving our maiden public appearance.
For many of you used to the informal sharing sessions with founders of local startups at E27′s unconferences, this will be a chance for all of you to have a no holds barred session with the founders of these startups.
It’ll be interesting to talk to the founders of Quaffs to see if they intend to harness the strength of the Facebook network in building up their user base and how they intend to do it considering the host of wishlist apps currently available.
At first glance, Recruit.net gives a refreshing and uncluttered experience to jobseekers who are perhaps used to the insanely cluttered view on JobsDB. However, there’s always the inevitable question of how they intend to compete with the incumbent leaders of the job listing market space here.
We at ZopIM are also really keen to share our exciting developments with everyone as well as fielding all the tough questions that we’ve come to expect from E27′s unconference attendees. If you, like the rest of us at E27 are really excited about keeping up with the latest startups in Singapore, do register for PopOut here.
Once again, thumbs up to TDM for this initiative. We look forward to seeing all of you readers there!
